Recognition for the Positive Differences That We Have Made  

Pfizer is a living, breathing, active organization made up of individual men and women who seek to make a difference not just in their careers but also in the lives of fellow human beings. Pfizer men and women take pride in the difference they make to their workplace, their local communities and the world we live in.

The results have been rewarding far beyond financial figures. Throughout our rich history, Pfizer has received numerous awards in a number of areas, including innovation, research and development, business management, financial performance, corporate governance, employee relations, human resource development and workplace environment, and philanthropy.

In addition, many of our Pfizer men and women have received recognition for their individual efforts, achievements and contributions to a healthier world. They transcend making a living to making the world a better place, and they have made us proud.

Below are some of the awards and recognitions that we have received since 2007:

2014
The Medical Association of Thailand awarded honorary plaque to Pfizer (Thailand) Limited to thank for its relentless support to the Association’s projects, which mainly advantage medical students and practitioners.

2013
Pfizer Thailand Receives AMCHAM’s CSR Excellence Recognition Award 2013 The ACE program was established to raise corporate social responsibility commitment, share best practices and provide recognition to AMCHAM member companies in Thailand who have strong commitment and dedication to community investment activities.

2012
Thailand Tops IMS Survey, Sales Colleagues Rated No.1 by Doctors Pfizer (Thailand) Ltd. was rated the pharmaceutical company with the best medical representatives in the Q4 2012 Medical Representative Satisfaction (MRS) Survey conducted by IMS Health, topping the survey for the eighth year in a row. The prestigious nationwide survey was primarily based on the overall performance of sales representatives, including call frequency, relationship with physician, effectiveness of main messages and product promotion.

560 medical doctors across 20 specialties were interviewed face-to-face and were asked to rate ten pharmaceutical MNC’s, including Pfizer and competitors such as AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Roche and Sanofi. Results showed that the doctors were most satisfied with Pfizer Thailand’s sales representatives’ performance, labeling them to be “honest when promoting products,” “knowledgeable and able to answer questions on the products they represent,” and that they “always keep doctors updated with latest information”.

The results also highlighted Pfizer Thailand’s lead the on the corporate image front. The doctors agreed that Pfizer “makes innovative products of high quality,” “is ethical in its business practice,” and that they “trust the company and its products”.

January
Diario Médico, a daily trade publication targeted to Spanish health care professionals, has named Pfizer's medicine for treating kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) as one of the "Best Ideas of the Year."

February
Pfizer Ecuador awarded the first-place "General Rumiñahui" prize for its corporate responsibility programs by the Pichincha provincial government.

September
Pfizer’s anti-pneumococcus vaccine was named "Best Pharmaceutical Agent" at 2011 Prix Galien USA Awards: The Prix Galien Award is considered among the industry's highest accolades and is determined by a distinguished committee that includes seven Nobel Laureates in medicine. The award was given by the Galien Foundation which recognizes and rewards excellence in scientific innovation to improve the state of human health.

Pfizer (Thailand) Ltd. receives the Asian CSR Awards 2011 in the Health Enhancement category. The annual awards are presented by the Asian Institute of Management, the Ramon V. Del Rosario, Sr. Center for Corporate Social Responsibility and Intel Corporation.

Pfizer (Thailand) Ltd. receives the TCC Best Award 2011(Thai Chamber of Commerce Business Ethics Standard Test Award 2011) in recognition of the company’s management practice that reflects corporate ethics.

The American Chamber of Commerce awards Pfizer (Thailand) Ltd. a “Certificate of Recognition” for its achievement in the “2011 AMCHAM Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Recognition” program.

In Taiwan, Pfizer’s medicine for treating nerve pains, neuropathic pains and Fibromyalgia received was honored by the Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI) for clinical advantages such as efficacy and ease of use.

Pfizer was named employer of choice in Thailand. Recent MBA graduates in Thailand picked Pfizer as the "Employer of Choices" in the pharmaceutical sector.

Company Takes Top Honors in India Pharma Awards: Pfizer has been recognized for the second time as the most admired pharmaceutical company in India, and Kewal Handa, Pfizer India Country Manager, was selected as the Pharma Professional of the Year at the 2010 Annual Pharmaceutical Leadership Awards in Mumbai recently.

Pfizer ranked 21st of Top 500 US and 20th of Top 100 Global Green Companies by Newsweek.

Pfizer named most admired pharmaceutical company in Brazil by CartaCapital , a leading economic, political and cultural magazine in the country.

Pfizer Turkey received three honors for initiatives that were identified as best practices in training, talent management and "projects that make a difference" at the "People Management Awards 2010" in Istanbul.

Pfizer Global Manufacturing's site in Freiburg, Germany, has received the state of Baden-Württemberg's Environmental Award, acknowledging the company's achievements in industrial environmental protection and corporate governance.

Pfizer UK — "Best Green Companies": The only pharmaceutical company making the list. "The 50 best companies in this survey are all pioneers-enterprising, enlightened and fizzing with new ideas. All have a common sense of purpose about their corporate responsibility".

Chantix — "Brand of the Year": Chantix is celebrating its designation as "Brand of the Year" by Pharmaceutical Executive magazine. The magazine said, "Chantix is Pfizer at its best, restoring luster to its reputation as a sophisticated marketer of consumer-oriented drugs.

Pfizer Earns Highest Mark in 2009 Human Rights Campaign Foundation Ranking: For the fifth consecutive year Pfizer earned top rating of 100 percent in the 2009 Corporate Equality Index, an annual ranking published by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, which evaluates businesses on their treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender employees, investors and customers.

The Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers Association (PReMA) awards a “Certificate of Recognition” to Pfizer (Thailand) Ltd. for its winning of the “Top Three Highest Average Score of the first examination of Medical Representatives Accreditation Program”.

Royal National Institute for Deaf People awarded Pfizer in Sandwich (UK) the RNID "Louder Than Words" charter for putting into place open access communication support, including staff trained in British Sign Language.

For the fifth consecutive year, Pfizer has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) for its policies and programs that support the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities. 2007 also marks the fourth consecutive year in which Pfizer scored a perfect 100 on the HRC Corporate Equality Index, an evaluation of how corporations treat their LGBT employees, consumers, and investors.

PR News awards Pfizer's HIV/AIDS initiative, Women Like You! The Power of Partnership (WLY), the Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Community Affairs category, which recognizes leadership in developing innovative corporate social-outreach programs.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy ranks Pfizer as Top Corporate Giver. The report notes that over the past three years, Pfizer has donated more in products and cash to those in need than any of the other top 150 U.S. companies.

Pfizer received an award for "Long Term Excellence in Corporate Governance" from the Vail Leadership Institute. The Excellence in Corporate Governance Award is given to companies whose boards provide examples of ethical leadership. Pfizer was recognized as a "pioneering company in corporate governance practices, continuously working closely with their institutional investors to make sure Pfizer is responsive to their needs and concerns."

Fortune magazine ranks Pfizer on its list of the "Best of the Best 2005." In an annual list of Blue-Ribbon Companies, Pfizer appeared on six different lists in 2005: Fortune 500, Global 500, Best Companies to Work For, Americas Most Admired Companies, Global Most Admired Companies and MBAs' Top 50 Employers.

Institutional Investor magazine published a list of the country's best chief executive and chief financial officers. Hank McKinnell, Chairman and CEO of Pfizer Inc, and David Shedlarz, CFO, ranked 1st in the Major Pharmaceutical category. — Institutional Investor magazine.

The Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) presented the Excellence in Corporate Philanthropy Award to Pfizer in recognition of its commitment to corporate giving, highlighting both strategic and humanitarian considerations.

Pfizer Inc, the world's largest company devoted to health care, is selected for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the best-known stock market index in the world.

The American Heart Association awarded Karen Katen, President, Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals and Executive Vice President, Pfizer Inc the "Woman With Heart" Award. She received this award for her leadership at Pfizer in sponsoring the "Go Red for Women" campaign.
